Where to Find Free (and Cheap) Airport Showers

A shower resets a long journey. Here’s how to find one at the airport — free where possible, cheap where not.

Few things reset a long-haul body like a hot shower at 4 a.m. The good news: more airports offer them than travelers realize, and several are free.

Where free showers hide

  • Some Asian and Gulf hubs offer free shower rooms airside — Changi, Incheon and Taoyuan are known for it.
  • Many airport lounges include showers; if you have lounge access through your ticket, card or a day pass, the shower is part of the deal.
  • Transit hotels and sleep-pod facilities usually let you book a shower on its own, without a full room.
OVERNIGHT TIP

Pack a tiny microfiber towel and a travel soap. Some free showers provide towels; many don’t.

If you have to pay

A paid lounge day pass often costs about the same as a standalone shower but adds food, quiet and Wi-Fi — better value on a long layover. A shower-only booking at a transit hotel is the cheaper route when you just want to freshen up.

Each airport guide on this site lists where showers are and whether they’re free, so you can plan the refresh before you land.
